A Pre-Dawn Call at Veterans Memorial Park
We got the call at 4:30 AM after a storm knocked down the old wooden fence bordering the park's cultural exhibits. Wind was still howling, and the crew could see sections of that pre-1920 farm fencing scattered across the lawn. The city needed the perimeter secured before sunrise to protect the artifacts and keep the public out of the debris field. If we didn't move fast, the whole area would be a liability.
We had two trucks rolling from our Granada Hills yard within 20 minutes. By first light, we'd erected a solid 8-foot barrier of chain-link around the entire compromised section, using ground anchors we drove in deep because the soil was saturated. The parks department head arrived to find a fully secure site, allowing their maintenance crew to start cleanup without any safety delays. Their event scheduled for that afternoon went on without a hitch.
Your crew had the whole mess contained before my coffee was even cold.
